Adam Lacko took a fine pole position for this afternoon’s third FIA European Truck Racing Championship race at Circuit Paul Armagnac, Nogaro.

The Buggyra International Racing System driver claimed the pole with a fastest lap of the weekend so far, a 1m53.184s. Lacko headed title rival Jochen Hahn by another slender margin as just 0.142s separated the pair.

The second row of the grid will be filled out by Rene Reinert and Steffi Halm. Reinert in particular looked very quick and came within 0.044s of making it on to the front row of the grid.

Anthony Janiec starts from fifth position in his Lion Truck Racing MAN, with Ellen Lohr beside him in sixth position.

Seventh was Sascha Lenz and the German headed Eduardo Rodrigues in eighth and Jiro Forman in ninth place.

There were issues for race one winner Norbert Kiss at the beginning of the Super Pole session as he pitted early with an apparent technical problem. His Tankpool24 Racing confirmed a piston issue with the truck and his participation for the races today is in serious doubt.

In the 20-minute timed practice session which preceded the Super Pole, it was Adam Lacko who set the fastest time on a 1m54.086s.

Once again Jochen Hahn was right with the Czech driver and just 0.048s behind in second place. Norbert Kiss claimed third position two tenths in arrears, while Anthony Janiec, Rene Reinert and Steffi Halm completed the top six.

Erwin Kleinnagelvoort again missed out on the Super Pole session in his white Scania truck.
