JAMIE ANDERSON WITH ALL NEW RACE TRUCK JOINS FORCES AGAIN WITH SASCHA LENZ AS TEAM LÖWENPOWER

1 June 2021

Anderson will take to the track in Hungary with an all-new SL Trucksport 30-built MAN and contest the team championship with Sascha Lenz as Team Löwenpower

The cooperation between the Brit and the German first started back in 2019 and soon developed into a friendship between the two drivers.

Anderson and Lenz joined forces in 2020, when they first entered the team championship as Löwenpower. Unable to show their full potential due to a short season, both drivers are keen to get racing and show what they’re capable of.

“We’ve developed a good working relationship with Sascha and his team over the last couple of years,” said Anderson. “Sascha and I are the same age and we feel our good relationship will help us progress within the championship.”

The all new SL Trucksport 30-built MAN with the #33 is a right-hand drive and the first of its kind coming out of the German team’s workshop in Weißenthurm. With input from Jamie, the SL Trucksport 30 team created the design and colour scheme and the all blue truck will be sure to turn heads when it lines up at the Hungaroring in just over a week’s time.

“We started the progress of the build last year and kept everything under wraps,” said Anderson. “We’ve completely changed our colour scheme and now race in blue with a similar design to Sascha’s green truck. The quality that him and his team produce is outstanding.”

Over the last few years, Anderson has continuously improved his performance in the championship. In 2019 the British racer clocked up 12 category wins and finished second in the Promoters Cup. Last year Anderson took two victories and a podium in the Goodyear Cup and will be looking for glory after missing out on the crown in 2019.

“In the last few years we have shown progression with our original truck and I felt now was the time to take the next step with the truck and the design. Building a close relationship with Sascha and seeing how him and his team work and their attention to detail makes me really excited to get back racing.

It’s been a difficult few years and we’re not quite out of it yet, but we’re very keen to start the season and look forward to our return to the grid. We are ready for the new challenge ahead of us and can’t wait to take the new truck to the track in Hungary.”
