Adam Lacko continued to set the pace at the Slovakia Ring by taking his second pole position in as many days aboard his Freightliner run by Buggyra International Racing System.

The Czech racer was on the pace from his first lap of the session by setting a splendid time of 2:42.914 (an entire second better compared than his pole lap from Saturday). The IVECO drivers were Lacko’s closest challengers, with Jochen Hahn (Team Hahn Racing) being 0.211s off Lacko’s time and Steffi Halm (Team Schwabentruck) a further 0.203s adrift.

Norbert Kiss aboard his Mercedes-Benz run by Team Tankpool24 Racing went fourth fastest, but was nearly 0.5s off pole position time.

The third row of the grid will be shared by Rene Reinert in his self-run MAN and a similar machine of yesterday’s front row qualifier Antonio Albacete in the colours of Truck Sort Lutz Bernau.

Andre Kursim (Don’t Touch Racing/IVECO) and Sascha Lenz will form row four of the grid, with, GRAMMER TRUCK CUP front-runners, Shane Brereton (TOR Truck Racing/MAN) and Luis Recuenco (Truck Sport Lutz Bernau/MAN) completing the top ten.

HALMS UNBEATEN IN TIMED PRACTICE

In a similar scenario to Saturday, Halm topped Timed Practice by setting a time of 2:43.120. Kursim, in a similar machine, was second-fastest, then it was Kiss from Lenz, Lacko, Reinert, Albacete, Hahn, Recuenco and Brereton.

Recuenco was also fastest among the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP participants this time around in his Trucksort Lutz Bernau MAN.

Frankie Vojtisek (Czech Truck Racing Team/MAN), Steffen Faas (Team Tankpool24 Racing/Mercedes-Benz), Oly Janes (Buggyra International Racing System/Freightliner) and Erwin Kleinnagelvort (EK Trucksport/Scania) missed out on the Super Pole session and will take places from 11th to 14th on the grid respectively. Ray Coleman (LRS Racing/MAN) suffered a suspected turbo failure and retired from qualifying. His participation in the race is unclear at the moment.
