Four scintillating races took place at the Nürburgring last weekend with Jochen Hahn, Steffi Halm and Adam Lacko each taking a victory in what is proving to be an unmissable FIA European Truck Racing Championship season.
The jewel in the truck racing crown saw action aplenty as a bumper grid of 21 trucks roared down to the first corner during a quartet of superb races.
The action was intense all the way through the weekend with several excellent and forceful battles between the protagonists. Adam Lacko and Jochen Hahn still remain separated by just a point, Steffi Halm has emerged as a genuine and consistent race winner, Norbert Kiss too has come to the fore as a force at the front and Rene Reinert proved that he has the skill and pace to fight for victory.
Luck was not on Reinert’s side on his home turf but more glory days surely await Reinert who drove one of the races of his career to come from the back in race two to sixth position at the chequered flag.
This was only a small selection of the battles and jousts that took place in front of a weekend crowd of 123,000 in one of the most successful Truck Grand Prix’ in recent years.
