Showing the dominant form he has had all weekend, Norbert Kiss has taken another pole position.
Jamie Anderson was lucky to make it through to Super Pole after being hit with an orange and black mechanical flag in warm up this morning for black smoke. The British racer and his team managed to get the issue fixed before qualifying and in the final moments of the 20 minute session he pushed Steffen Faas out of Super Pole, giving himself a shot at pole position.
Once again, Kiss was unbeatable and claimed another pole position for his championship campaign, but second-placed Sascha Lenz kept him pushing until the chequered flag setting a time only two-tenths slower than Kiss. Making up for lost ground in Zolder, Jochen Hahn has been having a great weekend and will start third on the grid for Race 3.
René Reinert had a great qualifying session, taking fourth on the grid ahead of Antonio Albacete and André Kursim. Adam Lacko couldn’t keep up with his fellow championship competitors and will start down in P7 ahead of Stephanie Halm for this afternoon’s race.
Shane Brereton takes another Goodyear Cup pole, with fellow category driver Anderson second and rounding off the top ten.
The third race of this weekend will get underway at 14:00.
