After an eventful race that saw plenty of on-track action, local hero Norbert Kiss took the victory in race 2 on Saturday afternoon.
The second race of the day saw plenty of action with Steffi Halm starting from pole position. The race came to a halt before it had even started, when Anthony Janiec, who was mean to start from second, spun on the way to the grid and had to be towed away.
The race finally started with a short delay under yellow flags. Antonio Albacete in third was straight onto Steffen Faas and overtook him as Norbert Kiss, who had already cleared Jochen Hahn also went past the German. Kiss stayed on the back of Albacete looking for a way past. The Hungarian went around the outside on the first corner to pass Albacete on lap 4 and closed in on Calvet, whom he overtook as well.
With 7 laps to go the race had to be stopped and was resumed after an hour and a half under yellow flags. Kiss took over the lead from Steffi Halm after the race went green and pulled away from the field. Adam Lacko put the pressure on Antonio Albacete and managed to get past the Spaniard to move into fourth. However Albacete didn't give up easily and took back his position a few laps later.
Téo Calvet caught up with Steffi Halm and managed to get past the German in the closing stages of the race on the start-finish straight.
Lacko and Albacete put the pressure on Halm and the Czech driver managed to overtake the Team Schwabentruck racer. He then closed the gap to his young team mate and overtook him for second place.
In the penultimate lap, Albacete got past Halm, who had to park up her Iveco on the side of the track.
In the end Norbert Kiss took the win in his home race, 16 seconds clear of Adam Lacko in second and Téo Calvet in third. The French driver also secured the win in the Goodyear Cup.
Antonio Albacete showed another strong performance to score his second Top 5 result of the day, ahead of Jochen Hahn in fifth.
Steffen Faas secured second place in the Goodyear Cup as he finished sixth overall with Clemens Hecker rounding out the podium of the Promoters Cup.
Luis Recuenco scored another top result finishing eighth and Aliyyah Koloc crossed the line in ninth.
