Adam Lacko took a tight victory over Sascha Lenz in Race 2 at Most
Local Hero Adam Lacko withstood the pressure from Sascha Lenz to take victory in Race 2 at Most.
His team-mate Aliyyah Koloc started the race from pole leading the field into the first corner. René Reinert got past Koloc and took over the lead. The young BUGGYRA Zero Mileage Racing driver ran into trouble with her Freightliner after she made contact with Jochen Hahn and had to park up on the side of the track.
Reinert’s lead didn’t last long when he ran wide in the second to last corner into the gravel and rejoined the field in last place.
Adam Lacko took over the lead and withstood the pressure from Sascha Lenz to take his first victory of the season in his home race at Most.
Norbert Kiss worked his way up the field and joined Lacko and Lenz in the top group. He put the pressure on the German but couldn’t find a way past the German. Kiss crossed the finish line in third but received a 10-second time penalty for speeding which put him in sixth position in the final standings and Jochen Hahn inherited his place on the podium.
Jamie Anderson took another win in the Promoter’s Cup and came fourth overall, ahead of Steffi Halm who finished fifth to take 8 more points after another solid drive from the German Team Schwabentruck racer.
Lukas Hahn got a good run in the second race to claimed a podium with second place in the Promoter’s Cup and seventh overall.
Antonio Albacete placed eight in his T Sport Bernau MAN ahead of tankpool24 driver Steffen Faas, who secured a third place in the Promoter’s Cup and ninth overall.
After retiring from the first race, Anthony Janiec started from the back of the grid but worked his way up and finished a solid 10th.
FIA ETRC new-comer Téo Calvet faced a difficult first day of racing. After he was forced out of the first race with a puncture he too went into race 2 from the back of the grid and couldn’t make up much ground. The Frenchman finished in 11th place, ahead of Clemens Hecker in 12th and Luis Recuenco in 12th.
