Adam Lacko completed a famous hat-trick of victories at Misano this afternoon as he took the third race in wet conditions.

The Buggyra International Racing System driver was made to work for his win as Jochen Hahn pressured him significantly throughout the race. Lacko and Hahn were in a class of their own as they tackled the wet track pulling out a massive gap over the rest of the field.

Despite Hahn’s constant pressure and a thrilling ‘cat and mouse’ contest, Lacko was able to take the chequered flag just 0.924 seconds ahead.

Norbert Kiss claimed a first podium position of the season in the new Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz truck to delight his hardworking team. Kiss drove a superb race and revelled in the level playing field brought by the conditions. The Hungarian double champion was able to overtake Steffi Halm early in the race to set up a strong run to the final podium position.

Anthony Janiec went some way to making amends for a difficult Saturday by claiming fourth place in his vivid Lion Racing Truck. Janiec had a relatively lonely race ahead of Steffi Halm who added to her impressive points haul this weekend with fifth position.

Rene Reinert drove a fine race, coming from the rear of the grid to take sixth position after qualifying problems. Reinert overtook Sascha Lenz and Gerd Korber late in the race and was almost able to catch teammate Halm. However, along with Korber, Reinert was placed under investigation for contact with Jeremy Robineau as he came through the field.

With Korber seventh and Lenz eighth, Jeremy Robineau scored more points for ninth position, while Frankie Vojtisek (Czech Truck Racing Team) claimed the final point ahead of Ellen Lohr.

The final positions were taken by Andre Kursim, Jiri Forman (who served a penalty for not starting at rear of field after he failed to pull away from the dummy grid), Eduardo Rodrigues and Dominique Orsini. Jean-Claude Labadie did not start the race after a terminal injection issue on his Renault truck.

The teams championship was shared between Buggyra 1969 and Reinert Adventures.

The fourth and final race of the Misano weekend is scheduled to take place at 16.00 local time.
