Adam Lacko took a third consecutive Super Pole in his No.55 Buggyra International Racing System Freightliner ‘FatFox’ at Misano this morning. Lacko peaked on a best time of 2m02.884s to head Jochen Hahn by 0.217s in another closely fought session.
Steffi Halm took third position, underlining her stunning pace from yesterday when she claimed a fourth and third position result in the pair of Saturday races. Halm will head the second row of the grid ahead of Norbert Kiss in the new Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz truck.
Sascha Lenz showed improved pace in his Lenz MAN truck and got to within 0.1s of Kiss. Lenz will start ahead Anthony Janiec in the Lion Truck Racing entry, the Frenchman will be intent on making up for yesterday’s disappointment of being penalised in race two.
Jeremy Robineau (Team Robineau) set a late time of 2m05.381s to ensure a seventh place start on the grid. The Frenchman heads Ellen Lohr (Truck Sport Lutz Bernau), Gerd Korber (Team Schwabentruck) and Jiri Forman (Buggyra International Racing system) in the Super Pole session.
Hahn quickest in Timed Practice
Jochen Hahn emerged fastest in the twenty minute timed practice session which set up the Super Pole session with a time of 2m03.124s.
It was another incredibly close session with Hahn just outpacing yesterday’s double winner Adam Lacko by just 0.047s.
Steffi Halm continued her excellent form with third place, while Nobert Kiss placed fourth for Tankpool24 Racing and Sascha Lenz fifth.
Anthony Janiec set the sixth best time ahead of Jeremy Robineau and Ellen Lohr in seventh and eighth. The final two positions to claim a place in the Super Pole session were Jiri Forman and Gerd Korber.
Just missing out on Super Pole were Frankie Vojtisek (Czech Truck Racing Truck), Andre Kursim (Tankpool24), Eduardo Rodrigues and Dominique Orsini in their self-run MAN trucks
This session started badly for Rene Reinert who stopped on the circuit on his out lap. The Frenchman had to be towed back to the pits and he didn’t compete in the re-started session meaning that he will start race three from the back of the grid.
Jean-Claude Labadie was unable to take part in the session due to a problem with his Renault truck. With the delay in retrieving Reinert’s truck there will be a short delay in the scheduled timetable.
