Find out what the drivers said at the Hungaroring on Sunday...
Race 3
1. Jochen Hahn – Team Hahn Racing | IVECO
"In the beginning, I didn’t know if it’s really green. We had no green signal and there were already yellow flags. I heard on the radio to go fast, so I assessed the conditions and started going faster and faster. We had a safe start and it was going dryer and dryer. so it worked out ok, I'm happy”
2. Steffi Halm – Team Schwabentruck | IVECO
“Until now everything was perfect. Yesterday we had some problems in qualifying. The qualifying was good, we were second and the plan was to stay second, but at the beginning of the race, it was a bit wet so nobody knew what set up would work, what the feeling would be like and what lines to take.
“Normally I don’t like the rain, but the last wet race at Misano went very well for me but surely everyone knows better how to dry in the wet.”
3. Norbert Kiss – Team Tankpool24 Racing | Mercedes-Benz
“I made the wrong call on the setup. I expected the circuit to be a bit wetter so we went with a wet set up but after a couple of laps, it was pretty clear that it was the wrong decision as the track dried rather quickly so I didn’t have the pace to fight for the podium.
"I even had to defend my fourth place. We were lucky with Sascha’s failure. I can be happy with the podium but it wasn’t a very good race for me.”
Race 4
1. Andre Kursim – Don’t Touch Racing | IVECO
“I knew I have to win the start. Jamie [Anderson] wasn’t too fast at the start, I won the start, managed to pass him and form the on all I had to do is to manage the race. Sometimes I had to check the mirrors to see where’s the rest, but I was able to manage my pace. It’s a very nice track here, the chicane is very special, Turn 4 is a nice corner.”
2. Rene Reinert – Reinert Raicng | IVECO
“It was exciting at the start, a lot of fighting at the front. There was Adam [Lacko], there was Andre [Kursim] and [Jamie] Anderson also. There was a lot of position changes and somehow I found myself second as I could overtake Adam. I guess he had a technical problem. Lap by lap, the gap behind me was getting bigger. Andre, running in front of me was really fast so the only thing I could do was to stay second and make no mistakes. In the end, in the latter part of the race, it was quite easy.”
3. Antonio Albacete – Truck Sport Lutz Bernau | MAN
“It was a very hard race. The start was not so bad. [Adam] Lacko had some problems, I was behind him when he lost power and that was a bit tricky. Then it was very difficult to overtake [Jamie] Anderson. He kept closing the doors all the time and I was lucky to pass him. All in all, it was a very good weekend. In the past I had bad weekends here with very few points, a lot of trouble and this weekend has been very, very good for us.”
