Title favorite Adam Lacko put his Freightliner on pole position for the first race of round seven of the 2017 European Truck Racing Championship held at Circuit Zolder.
The Championship leader in his Freightliner run by Buggyra International Racing System narrowly eclipsed Norbert Kiss, who went fastest in the earlier Timed Practice session, with Jochen Hahn in his Team Hahn Racing Iveco completing the top three. Hahn will be joined on the second row of the grid by Antonio Albacete (Truck Sport Lutz Bernau) in the first of the MANs.
Sascha Lenz in his self-run SL Trucksport MAN qualified a solid fifth, ahead of Lacko’s team-mate David Vršecký. Steffi Halm qualified only seventh on board of her Reinert Racing MAN. The female racer will have Promoter’s Cup pole-winner José Rodrigues for company on tow four of the grid.
Gerd Korber in Team Schwabentruck Iveco will start ninth, ahead of Adré Kursim, who will be determined to bounce back following a blown engine that put him on the back foot in the Promoter’s Cup title fight at Most.
