Round seven of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship presented the championship with a unique opportunity of meeting another FIA-sanctioned, Pan-European racing series – the FIA European Touring Car Cup.
The happening was celebrated with a photo shoot that took place on the grid of Circuit Zolder. Four different race trucks of FIA ETRC's front-runners were joined by three TCR-spec touring cars of the FIA ETCC competitors.
FIA ETRC was represented by championship leader Adam Lacko in his Freightliner run by Buggyra International Racing System. He was accompanied by reigning champion Jochen Hahn in his Team Hahn Racing Iveco, double champion Norbert Kiss in Team Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz and three-time title-winner Antonio Albacete in his Truck Sport Lutz Bernau MAN.
The race trucks were joined by Macedonia’s Igor Stefanovski and his Seat Leon Cup Racer, Serbian racer Rudolf Pesovic in Audi RS3 LMS and stalwart touring car driver Peter Rikli from Switzerland in his Honda Civic TCR. 'Pace Pete' in his Mercedes-Benz pace truck also joined the party.
