Dakar heroes!

What is known as the toughest race in the world came to an end last week – the mighty Rally Dakar, and a few familiar FIA ETRC faces were there.

What is known as the toughest race in the world came to an end last week – the mighty Rally Dakar.

Buggyra Racing - runner-up European Truck Racing Team Champion 2016 – have raced with two of their self-engineered Tatra race trucks in the Rally Dakar for the past 12 days.

Also 2016 FIA ETRC race by race entry Thomas Robineau (pictured above) scythed his way through the challenging Paraguayan, Bolivian and Argentinian landscape and finally crossed the finish line in Buenos Aires last week. On his Dakar debut the 26 year old French achieved a good 29th overall position at the wheel of his Iveco race truck, while the considerably more experienced Buggyra drivers Ales Loprais and Martin Kolomy finished 7th and 15th.

Congratulations to all three drivers and to all crews in this incredible adventure!
