- TruckMAN
Sascha started competing in the ETRC in 2013 with the SL Trucksport team and he first competed at the at the Nürburgring. That gave him a taste for competition and he went on to take part in many more races in 2014 and 2015 where he became a regular points scorer.
In 2016 Lenz competed in a full season and put in some promising performances, especially at the Red Bull Ring (two fourth places) and Most (third) and at Zolder where he scored his best ever result of second place.
In 2017 Sascha returned with his self-run MAN truck and enjoyed a solid season, getting better as the year went on, scoring three podiums and a pole in the last four race meetings.
Lenz was a model of consistency in his SL Trucksport MAN in the 2018 season. He did not only score his maiden win but was also the only driver to score points in each of the 32 encounters and collated enough to take a brilliant fourth in the standings.
The 32-year-old German kicked off his 2019 campaign with a second place at the opening round in Misano before winning at the Hungaroring. He added a win at the Slovakiaring and at Le Mans and another 4 podium finishes to his name and finished fifth in the standings.
In a shortened 2020 season Lenz showed good form and scored a win and two podium finishes.
Lenz had a strong season in 2021 with four victories and within contention of the title. He couldn't quite take the battle to his rival Norbert Kiss and finished the season as Vice European Truck Racing Champion.
