Jochen Hahn took a second consecutive pole position at Nürburgring this morning to give himself the best opportunity of reprising his race one win yesterday.

The triple FIA European Truck Racing Champion took his Team Hahn truck to a best lap of 1m54.559s, set on his second flying lap. This was just 0.011s off his pole time from yesterday.

Rene Reinert joins Hahn on the front row of the grid with a time that was just 0.176 adrift of his fellow German.

Adam Lacko heads row two of the grid in his Buggyra International Racing System FatFox, while Steffi Halm will start fourth in her Reinert Racing MAN. A mere 0.815s covered the top four after the ten minute Super Pole session

Gerd Korber continues his good qualifying form by placing fifth in his Team Schwabentruck IVECO. Korber heads an impressive Jeremy Robineau who had his best qualifying session of the season.

Anthony Janiec placed seventh ahead of Ellen Lohr and British newcomer to the FIA ETRC, Shane Brereton, who made his Super Pole debut and placed an encouraging ninth.

Completing the top ten is Norbert Kiss who had his quickest lap of the session deleted due to hitting a safety marker. The Tankpool24 Racing driver who finished race two in third position yesterday will have work to do in the race which is due to start at 13.05.

Hahn also tops qualifying session

Jochen Hahn also topped the qualifying session which set the Super Pole top ten just prior to the shoot-out.

Yesterday’s race one victor set a best time of 1m54.564s to lead Rene Reinert by 0.8s. In third position was Adam Lacko who will be looking to claw back the title initiative in his Buggyra International Racing System Freightliner FatFox.

The fight to get in to the top ten was a close affair with Ellen Lohr and Markus Altenstrasser battling it out for the final position. Lohr’s time of 1m57.273s was good enough to claim another Super Pole slot.

There was disappointment for Ryan Smith who triggered a red flag early in the qualifying session when his OXXO Energy Truck Race Team MAN stopped on the entry to turn two. As a result the British racer will start race three at the back of the grid.
