1st - Steffi Halm - Reinert Racing
Steffi, a second ever FIA ETRC win for you, just talk us through the race today?
“The first lap was really perfect. I come through from the third row and was really surprised, but then there was the big accident and the red flag, so I thought that advantage was all gone.
“Then we had the second start, I took the inside line and I stayed there to overtake Janiec and then after that Sasha (Lenz). I then had to really put my foot down, because I knew that the others would come, but I held on and I am really, really happy.”
2nd - Jochen Hahn - Team Hahn
A very dramatic race Jochen, did you ever think you would be here on the podium after the red flag incident?
“No, no. After this crash I thought that there was too much damage, my steering wheel didn’t feel right, but we came to the grid for the restart and the mechanics made some checks.
“I was very happy to start again and to be here in 2nd place at my home race is fantastic . The fans are great, you can really feel their support and it makes for a good atmosphere.”
3rd – Norbert Kiss - Tankpool24 Racing
A good podium here and for home team, Tankpool Racing.....
“Yes, a good result and I am really thankful to the team who are doing a good job. We are improving each time and it is getting better and better. This is the home race for the team and for Tankpool24 and I am really happy to be on the podium in Germany and it is a good day for me.”
