2022 FIA ETRC CALENDAR ANNOUNCED

15 December 2021

The European Truck Racing Association (ETRA) has today announced the calendar for the 2022 season.

Following the confirmation in the FIA World Motorsport Council meeting earlier today, the new calendar will see an eight-date schedule, which will span some of Europe’s most challenging and diverse race tracks.

The season will kick off in Misano, Italy on 21/22 May and will see the return of the FIA ETRC Fan Village, which is a hub to attract, entertain and inform fans who visit the FIA ETRC races as well as an exhibition platform for partners.

The truck racing action will then move on to the Hungaroring in June, the home circuit of newly crowned FIA ETRC champion Norbert Kiss.

The third event of the season will take place at the Slovakia Ring, which after a break returns to the calendar in 2022.

After a forced two year break, truck racing will finally return to the Nürburgring for the Int. ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix in the middle of July. The race weekend is a huge celebration of truck racing and the truck and transport industry, and also doubles as a spectacular festival.

The second leg of the season will see two rounds of back-to-back race weekends with Czech Autodrom Most kicking off the action on the first weekend in September, followed by Circuit Zolder in Belgium a week later.

The penultimate round of the championship will take place at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit and as in previous years, Circuito del Jarama will host the final event weekend of the season.

“We’re extremely happy to have secured events with all of our long-standing event partners for 2022,” said Rolf Werner, Managing Director at ETRA.

“Last season we’ve seen some great racing and great competition, which went all the way down to the last event. We were finally able to welcome fans back into the paddock which is the heart and soul of truck racing.

“2021 has also rung in a new era for the championship with the focus shifting to sustainability and we’ve already made some important steps to reduce our carbon footprint. We have a number of loyal long-term partners with us on our journey and are excited about what lies ahead of us.”
