The ETRC Digital Racing Challenge comes to an end this weekend, when both the truck team drivers and sim racers will line up for the season finale on the virtual grid at Jarama.
With the first five drivers in the overall standings still in the running for the ETRC Digital Racing Challenge crown, the season finale at Jarama promises to see some exciting racing.
Norbert Kiss currently sits on top of the leader board, 23 points clear of Spanish driver Manuel Alvarez and 30 points clear of Lukas Hahn.
Kiss’ closest rival Alvarez scored one win and three podium finishes and Lukas Hahn was on the podium four times in the first six races. Hahn got beaten to the win by Kiss in the final corner at the Nürburgring and the German will be looking for pay back.
Josy Vila and Sascha Lenz are both more than 30 points behind Kiss and therefore would only be in contention, if the Hungarian sim racing ace wouldn’t score any points at all in the two remaining races.
In the Sim racer grid competition the title was already decided after the last round at the Nürburgring. Enrique Marcos, who won 4 out of the six races so far, is 47 points ahead of Angel Ropero and 49 Alejandro Gomez. However with 40 points remaining, Ropero and Gomez can’t catch Marcos anymore.
