We look back at the latest Goodyear Cup action at Autodrom Most
Jamie Anderson took two Goodyear Cup wins and a podium while FIA ETRC newcomer Téo Calvet scored his first win at the season opener at Autodrom Most last weekend
British Driver Jamie Anderson kicked off his quest for Goodyear Cup glory in Most last weekend, when he won two out of the three races and also claimed a third place in the ‘Chrome’ driver category.
Anderson started from third on the grid in the Goodyear Cup line up on Saturday and battled with Téo Calvet at the start. He lost a few places but fought back to reclaim the top spot. The Brit put in another splendid performance in the second race on Saturday and secured his second win of the day.
FIA ETRC newcomer and youngest driver on the grid, Aliyyah Koloc gave an impressive debut on her first outing, with a second place in the Goodyear Cup in the first race and strong eight place finish overall.
German driver Clemens Hecker drove a solid race in the Goodyear Cup ranking and initially finished fourth in Race 1 on Saturday. He inherited third place from Steffen Faas, who was handed a time penalty after the race.
Lukas Hahn, who was on the grid in Most as a race-by-race entrant, started the race from second in the Goodyear Cup line up. His great run was cut short though when Steffen Faas ran into the back of him, which saw him lose out on the podium. Hahn made up for it though when he raced to finish second in race 2 on Saturday.
Tankpool 24 driver Steffen Faas redeemed himself in the second race on Saturday where he finished third.
BUGGYRA Zero Mileage Racing driver Téo Calvet was the fastest Goodyear Cup runner in the SuperPole on Saturday. He couldn’t convert his pole position start in the Chrome driver category though, as he suffered an early retirement with a puncture.
In Race 3 on Sunday Calvet started the Goodyear Cup from pole ahead of Steffen Faas and Jamie Anderson. After the race had to be red-flagged for two hours due to rain, the French driver kept a cool head in the difficult conditions, to claim victory in what was his first ever wet race.
Steffen Faas drove home his second podium of the weekend and British driver Jamie Anderson completed the podium in third.
