1100 horsepower, 5.3 tons, from 100-160 kph in 4.8-5 seconds - the new IVECO S-WAY racing trucks of Team Hahn Racing and Team Schwabentruck promise some exciting racing action once the season gets underway.
Both teams presented their 2020 challengers via live stream to the truck racing community with partner IVECO, from the IVECO testing track in Ulm, Germany this afternoon.
For Steffi Halm it will be the third season with Team Schwabentruck after making the swap from Reinert Racing in 2018. The German racer finished sixth in the standings that year, with two wins to her name. Last season was a good year for Steffi with 11 podium finishes and a fourth place in the overall standings.
“I’m proud to be able to drive such a great car this year,” said Steffi about her new truck. “I really like the look of it but at the end of the day it needs to be fast on track of course. Once we go back racing, we want to improve on last year and move further forward.”
Six-time FIA ETRC champion Jochen Hahn is eager to take the new racer to the track: “The new truck looks great and I can’t wait to race it. We’ve worked hard for our success over the last couple of years and the partnership with IVECO and FPT really helped us move forward in the last two seasons.
I know our competition doesn’t sleep and we must not rest on our laurels. We will keep working hard to add to our success.”
