All the action from practice and Super Pole at Le Mans....
Jochen Hahn took pole position for the first race of the Le Mans Bugatti weekend after snatching the top spot on the final lap of Super Pole.
The Hahn Racing IVECO driver set a best lap of 2m05.653s to claim his 12th pole of the season and maintain his 100% record in the first race throughout 2019.
Hahn again left it late after early session pace setter Antonio Albacete had lapped in 2m05.814s.
However, Albacete also lost a front-row position when Sascha Lenz grabbed second in the final stages with a 2m05.681s lap to get within 0.028s of Hahn’s pole time.
Lenz, in his SL Trucsksport30 MAN, scored his first ever pole position here at Le Mans back in 2017 and is hunting his second victory of the 2019 season this weekend.
Staring fourth on the grid will be Adam Lacko in his Buggyra Racing Freightliner.
IVECO drivers Rene Reinert and Steffi Halm start fifth and sixth, while Andre Kursim placed seventh just ahead of Jose Rodrigues.
Jamie Anderson starts ninth and top of the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP pile, while Norbert Kiss was bitterly disappointed to not get a clear Super Pole lap in after technical difficulties on his Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz.
Timed Practice
The earlier timed practice session which set the lower half of the grid and determined the top ten for the Super Pole session was headed by Jochen Hahn
The title leader set a peak lap of 2m06.200s in his Hahn Racing IVECO to lead Norbert Kiss (Tankpool24 Racing) by just 0.141s.
Third was Antonio Albacete ahead of Steffi Halm, Rene Reinert and Sascha Lenz.
Adam Lacko placed seventh, this was despite the Buggyra Racing driver suffering some damage to the rear bodywork on his Buggyra Racing Freightliner.
Eighth was Kursim, while Jose Rodrigues was ninth and Jamie Anderson rounded out the top ten and was also the leader in the GRAMMER TRUCK CUO category
Just missing out on Super Pole this time was Shane Brereton who’s lap of 2m07.784s just missed the cut-off point. Brereton and his TORTrucks run MAN is returning to FIA ETRC action this weekend for the first time since the Nurburgring rounds in July.
