For the second time this weekend, Jochen Hahn will start from pole position…
Championship leader Jochen Hahn continued to dominate at Autodrom Most as the Team Hahn Racing driver posted a time of 2:01.330 to keep local ace Adam Lacko's Buggyra Racing Freightliner at bay. On this occasion Lacko was 0.5s off Hahn’s best time.
Antonio Albacete was the best of the rest in third in his Truck Sport Lutz Bernau MAN, with Steffi Halm completing the second row of the grid for Team Schwabentruck for the second time this weekend.
Norbert Kiss qualified fifth, improving two places on yesterday’s qualifying result. The Hungarian Team Tankpool234 Racing driver will have André Kursim in his Don’t Touch Racing IVECO for company.
Fourth row of the grid will be shared by yesterday’s winner René Reinert (Reinert Racing) and Anthony Janiec (Lion Truck Racing) with GRAMMER TRUCK CUP front runners Jamie Anderson and Luis Recuenco rounding out the top 10.
No match for Hahn in Timed Practice
Just like on Saturday, Hahn was setting the pace in the Timed Practice as well. Also similarly to the previous day of action, local ace Lacko was his closest competitor, 0.28s off the pace on this occasion.
Albacete was third fastest, but over 0.6s adrift off Hahn’s time. Kursim made as strong impression, setting fourth-fastest time, but nearly a second slower than Hahn, driving a similar IVECO machine.
Kiss was the last driver within a second off Hahn’s benchmark time in fifth overall, with sixth Halm being the first driver to lose more than a second to the time set by the reigning champion.
Janiec and Reinert were seventh and eighth, with ninth going to GRAMMER TRUCK CUP pace-setter Anderson.
The top 10 was rounded out by Recuecno.
José Rodrigues of Reboconort Truck Racing Team was the first one who missed out on the Super Pole slot and will start 11th overall.
The following places went to GRAMMER TRUCK CUP competitors Terry Gibbon (T-Sport/MAN), Oly Janes (Buggyra Racing/Freightliner) and Fabio Citignola (Tankpool24 Racing/Mercedes-Benz).
Making his first FIA ETRC appearance this year, Mika Mäkinen qualified his Freightliner 16th, one place behind Erwin Kleinnagelvoort driving his trusted Scania.
Edurado Rodrigues in the second of the Reboconort MANs was the final qualifier in 17th.
Sascha Lenz suffered a broken brake disc and missed out on the Super Pole. The German will start from the back, alongside another non-qualifier, Frenchman Dominique Orsini.
