Here’s what the drivers had to say once the dust settled down at Circuito del Jarama on Sunday.
Race 3
1. Jochen Hahn – Team Hahn Racing |IVECO
"It’s never easy [even if it looks like that], I had to push really hard every lap to achieve a lap like that. You need a gap because you never know what’s going to happen in the end. That’s why I pushed on every lap. The plan for Race 4 is to have fun and enjoy."
2. Antonio Albacete – Truck Sport Lutz Bernau | MAN
"Since the first corner, I knew I had to settle for second. I just had to keep [Sascha] Lenz and [Norbi] Kiss behind. [Later] I saw that the Norbi had a problem and Lenz was fourth so that was OK for me. Everything was OK with the truck but Hahn is just very fast. I was trying very hard for half of the race but it was just impossible [to catch him].
"For me, it was most important to finish ahead of Lenz and Kiss and I achieved that."
3. Adam Lacko – Buggyra International Racing System | Freightliner
"It all went perfectly. Only at the start, it was a little bit stressful because Norbi pushed me. Form the moment I saw him stopping everything went perfectly. There were no problems with the truck and I just drove safely and carefully because I knew that third place is enough for me to keep third overall."
"The new tarmac is better than the old one, gives more grip, maybe a little bit more tyre-eating but it is always tyre-eating here."
Race 4
1. René Reinert – Reinert Racing | MAN
"It was a very exciting race right from the start. I started fourth. The guys in the front went a little bit wide and I overtook Steffi [Halm]. Then there was a fight with Shane [Brereton] over three laps, I guess. We were next to each other all the time and we touched once, he was almost on the gravel and my tyres where sh**. There was so much going on in this race! In the end, to win two races over the weekend is perfect."
2. José Rodrigues – Team Reboconort | MAN
"I'm very happy at this very moment. It's my home track, I feel great here. Lap by lap, me confidence grew and I felt that I have a chance [to take the lead]. Second place, however, is perfect.
"We don't know about next season yet. I'm sponsored by my father so it's difficult to say."
3. Steffi Halm – Team Schwabentruck | IVECO
"I didn't have the best of starts, but neither did Shane. José was able to take the inside line and he accelerated like normal, as if there was no other truck but there was me and he pushed me out wide and into the gravel and I lost momentum and several places.
"Later, in the closing stages of the race, I was attacked by Jochen, but I knew he's not going to risk and he's going to be fair."
