Four-time FIA European Truck Racing Championship title-winner Jochen Hahn continued to dominate at Misano, as he clinched his second pole position of the season-opening weekend.
Super Pole
There was simply no match for Hahn in the second Super Pole session of the weekend, and the Team Hahn Racing IVECO truck recorded a best lap of 2:02.262, narrowly improving his time from the Timed Practice session held earlier.
Second best was Norbert Kiss who was 0.677s adrift of Hahn’s time.
Steffi Halm enjoyed improvement from yesterday (where she was only 11th and didn’t make it into the Super Pole session) and she managed to put her Team Schwabentruck IVECO on third position on the grid, with Rene Reinert, who’s is driving Halm’s truck from last year, alongside her on row two of the grid.
Antonio Albacete and Adam Lacko will share third row of the grid, while André Kursim, who was an impressive second in Timed Practice, qualified seventh and will start with his compatriot and yesterday’s winner Sascha Lenz alongside him.
Positions nine and ten went to Ryan Smith and Gerd Körber respectively.
Timed practice
Hahn once again started his day by setting the pace at Misano. The Four-time champion recorded 2:02.701, to find himself on top of the timing screens in the Timed Practice.
This time André Kursim was the best of the rest, 0.358s off Hahn’s time in the Don’t Touch Racing IVECO.
Norbert Kiss was third quickest, followed by Halm, Reinert, Lacko, Lenz, Albacete, Smith and Körber being the last driver to make it to the Super Pole session.
Among the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP competitors, it was Thomas Robineau who set the pace, recording 2:04.503. The Frenchman found himself just outside of the top ten in 11th overall.
The following places went to Shane Brereton, Jamie Anderson, Oly Janes and Steffen Faas, who all should be in the mix in the battle for the GRAMMER TRUCK CUP podium.
