The 2018 FIA European Truck Racing Championship is set to feature an all-new team on the grid as the anticipation mounts for a new thrilling campaign.
The Don’t Touch Racing team, set up by well-known and respected logistics company Sven Walter, will enter a brand new IVECO truck for Germany’s Andre Kursim for a full 2018 campaign.
Sven Walter has been a constant paddock presence as a partner to several teams in recent years and will form the team which will equip Kursim with the hardware for him to try and add to his two FIA ETRC race victories which he gained at Zolder last September.
Kursim has spent the last two seasons with the Tankpool24 Racing team and has grown in to a talented racer having not only won two races outright but also finished a close runners-up in last season Promoter’s Cup competition.
Now, with a team built around him, Kursim is targeting more success in the IVECO truck model which has taken several wins in the hands of Jochen Hahn and Gerd Korber last season.
The truck is currently being built in Ulm and is set to test at Most in April.
Full plans for the Don’t Touch Racing, which will be based in Germany, are to be unveiled shortly and fiaetrc.com will bring you an exlusive interview with Sven Walter himself later this month.
