Jochen Hahn claimed pole position for race three at the Slovakia Ring later this afternoon after gaining Super Pole revenge on yesterday’s pole sitter Norbert Kiss.

Reigning champion Hahn set a best qualifying time of 2m43.136s, 0.2s faster than his best in Saturday’s Super Pole session, and it was enough to take pole, but only by 0.076s!
Although the pace was slightly slower today, Hahn claimed the top spot after Norbert Kiss was unable to match his own timed practice speed. The Hungarian was 0.5s slower in Super Pole than in the earlier session.
Antonio Albacete driving his Truck Sport Lutz Bernau MAN starts third ahead of Adam Lacko’s Buggyra International Racing System run Freightliner.
Steffi Halm (Reinert Racing MAN) and David Vrsecky (Buggyra International Racing System Freightliner) reprise the same third row starts as yesterday’s line-up.
Andre Kursim continues his excellent form in 2017 with a fine seventh starting position in the second of the Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz entries. He is joined by Promoter’s Cup rival Jose Rodrigues on the fourth row who was just 0.3s away from Kursim.
The final two Super Pole positions see German duo Sascha Lenz (SL Trucksport MAN) and Gerd Korber (Team Schwabentruck IVECO) line-up together. Korber joined the session late and as a consequence
Race three at Slovakia Ring is scheduled to get underway at 13.10 cet this afternoon.

Timed Practice
Norbert Kiss topped the earlier timed practice session which provided the top ten drivers for the Super Pole shootout session.
His 2m42.768s lap was a full 0.5s clear of Jochen Hahn’s best effort. Hahn will be attempting to claw back some of the championship point’s deficit to rival Adam Lacko this afternoon.
Race two victor, Antonio Albacete, was third in the ten minute session ahead of Adam Lacko, Steffi Halm, Sascha Lenz, Gerd Korber and David Vrsecky.
Andre Kursim was fastest of the Promoter’s Cup drivers ahead of Jose Rodrigues who made it in to the top ten despite having one of his laps cancelled due to a track limit violation.
Missing out on the Super Pole session were the same five drivers as yesterday – Stefan Faas (Team Schwabentruck IVECO), Frankie Vojtisek (Czech Team MAN), Erwin Kleinagelvoort (EK Scania), Eduardo Rodriguez (Reboconorte MAN) and Dominique Orsini (Orsini Mercedes-Benz).
