The only female racer in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship this season, Steffi Halm, started Sunday at the Red Bull Ring on a high note, securing pole position for race three in her Team Reinert Adventure MAN truck.

Reigning champion and yesterday’s pole-winner Jochen Hahn in his new IVECO truck will line up alongside Halm, completing an All-German front row.

For the most part of the session Adam Lacko looked very strong in his Buggyra Racing-run Freightliner, posting the fastest time of the weekend so far (1:04.848), however the Czech racer had his time cancelled due to overspending and will start the race from tenth on the grid.

Team Tankpool24 Racing’s Norbert Kiss, qualified third in his Mercedes-Benz, making it three different manufacturers in top three in the Super Pole session. The Hungarian has looked in contention all weekend long and should be in the mix when the lights go out this afternoon.

Returning multiple champion Antonio Albacete was fourth fastest in his Truck Sport Lutz Bernau MAN, improving by one place compared to yesterday’s session.

On the back of historic result achieved yesterday (the first ever FIA ETRA win for a driver from Portugal) Jose Rodrigues once again dominated the Promoters Cup category, posting sixth fastest time. The Portugese also went fastest overall in the timed practice. His closest rival in the cup, Germany’s Andre Kursim improved by three places on yesterday's session and will start the race from eighth on the grid.

Oxxo Racing’s Ryan Smith experienced a difficult qualifying, making it into the Super Pole session only in the dying moments of the timed practice and will start ninth, benefiting from Lacko’s time being cancelled.
