René Reinert made his European Truck Racing debut in 2012 without much previous racing experience, but that didn’t seem to bother him too much as he was able to take his maiden win that year. A fierce competitor, who on his day can challenge anyone in the field.
In the 2015 season the German placed consistently in the top six for the vast majority of the season, taking 6th place in the European Truck Racing Championship.
2016 was Reinerts best season to date - he finished third in the standings and decided to take a sabbatical from racing in 2017.
2016 also saw up and coming racer Steffi Halm have her best ever season for Team Reinert Racing with a podium at her first event of the year at Misano followed up with wins at the Nürburgring, Hungaroring and a double win at Le Mans, netting her an exceptional fourth place in the standings. In 2017 Halm strengthened her position as a consistent front-runner by scoring three wins on her way to fourth in the final standings that year.
Reinert returned to the cockpit himself in 2018 and ended up seventh in the standings with four race wins to his name.
In 2019 the German completed the first make switch of his truck racing career, swapping his proven MAN for Team Hahn Racing-built IVECO.
He only needed two starts behind the wheel of his all-new IVECO truck to score his first victory for the Italian truck manufacturer at the season opener in Misano. Reinert went on to win two more races and finished the 2019 season in seventh.
