T Sport Racing and Truck Sport Bernau joined forces to contest the 2020 FIA ETRC season as T Sport Bernau.
With the T Sport Racing team entering their third season in the FIA ETRC, and the well-established and experienced Truck Sport Bernau team looking for ways to breathe new ideas and energy into their racing commitment, a strategy to collaborate was quickly established.
Team owners Lutz Bernau and Egi Bartmann will be taking on a supervisory role within the team, providing technical and operational support.
2019 FIA European Truck Racing Championship runner up and triple ETRC champion Antonio Albacete was confirmed as the team’s racing driver.
Lutz Bernau is a real pioneer of truck racing in Germany and has been a fixture on the scene since 1984. The former European champion first competed as a driver in the Dakar rally and in international truck racing. In 2005 he moved to the role of Team Principal and has since then successfully run his team picking up several European Championship titles, wins and podiums.
